While some staff may help you get started, you’ll mostly be cooking yourself – it’s part of the fun Korean BBQ experience! Don’t worry if you’re a first-timer; the process is straightforward.

Are banchan (side dishes) refillable?

Yes! Traditional Korean banchan including kimchi, pickled radish, and other sides are refillable. Just ask your server when you need more. Note that the number of banchan items may vary depending on what you order and current restaurant policies.

Do I need a reservation?

Reservations are accepted for large groups, which we highly recommend if you’re bringing a big party. For smaller groups or solo diners, walk-ins are welcome! During peak times (especially late Friday/Saturday nights), there may be a queue, but the wait typically isn’t too long. The restaurant is quite spacious with two levels of seating.

What are the portion sizes like?

Portions are generous! The rice mains and soup dishes are typically sized for one person and quite filling. For BBQ platters, a “large” platter is substantial but may not be enough for two very hungry people – consider ordering additional items or sides. The menu clearly indicates portion sizes to help you order accordingly.

Why are you open so late?

We’re one of the few restaurants in Sydney open until the early morning hours because we want to serve everyone – from late-night workers and night owls to post-clubbing crowds looking for a satisfying meal at 2 AM! Our late hours make us perfect for early morning meals after a big night out, and we’ve become a Haymarket staple for this reason.

Budget-friendly options like bulgogi rice or soup dishes run around $15-25, while premium Wagyu BBQ platters and larger spreads can be $40-60+ per person.
